School Policies

  • Students must carry their Almanac and Identity Card to school every day with their photograph and complete identity information signed by parents.
  • Students who come to the school by their own transport should reach 5 minutes before the school bell rings.
  • Students should be neatly and properly dressed and should wear the school uniform on every working day.
  • Boys to have a proper hair cut done. Spikes and long hair are not allowed except turban for Sikh religion.
  • Girls to make plaits with middle parting. The clips and hair band should be black in colour. Use of Jewellery, nail polish, coloured hair etc. is not permitted in the school.
  • No student is permitted to bring mobile phones or any other gadgets to the school. In case found, will be confiscated. The school will not be responsible for the loss of any such items.
  • All disputes or proceedings are subject to Gurugram Jurisdiction.
  • No monetary collection/donation for any purpose may be made in school without the permission of the Principal.
  • Students should speak in English, in the school premises, since English is the medium of instruction at PSIS – Reasonable Schools in Gurgaon.
  • Strict action will be taken if the above rules are not adhered to.
  • Students below the age of 18 and without driving license are not allowed to drive any personal vehicle to school.
  • On attaining the age of 18, the student needs to carry his/her driving license and original documents of the vehicle driven.
  • The students needs to follow all Safety & Traffic rules. Parent will be soully responsible for any mishappening in and outside the school premises.
  • Students are required to behave politely at all times. They should not use inappropriate language or indulge in fights and quarrels with others in the school.
  • They must respect and follow the instructions of their teachers. Any behavior likely to hurt others in terms of language, religion, caste or community is strictly prohibited.

The following practices are strictly forbidden:

  • Spitting in or near the school building.
  • Disfiguring or damaging school property.
  • Smoking, any form of gambling.
  • Use of drugs, intoxicants.
  • Rude behaviour and bullying or violence in any form.
  • Casteism and communism
  • Shouting and whistling in the school building.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or take strict disciplinary action against a student whose conduct is harmful to other students. Bullying or use of foul language is strictly prohibited.
  • As far as possible, once a child has come to school, he/she will not be allowed to take short leave/half day except in unavoidable circumstances.
  • Student should not damage any school furniture, or write or draw anything on the walls. Any damage done should be reported at once to the class teacher
  • Students who comes to school with their escort should never leave the school before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report the school office.
  • The name, class and section of the student should be clearly marked on all the belongings. Blazers and sweaters should also bear the name of the student. The school is not responsible for loss/damage of any belongings.
  • A student who uses unfair means during the tests will not be given any marks for the attempt in the subject. Repetition of the same  offence shall result in dismissal from the school.
  • Students using the school bus must maintain proper discipline in the bus. Bus facilities will be withdrawn in case of breach of code of conduct.
  • Non bus users will not be allowed to go out of the school premises unless escorted by the parent/guardian carrying Parent/Guardian Id Card.
  • Parents are requested to visit school website regularly for updates.

Cyber Bullying

  • Anonymous mail by students, parents and staff will not be entertained at all. The email facility in the student portal is not to be used for any objectionable activity which will be liable for action under the Cyber Laws. Serious and immediate panel action will be taken in any/all such cases where undesirable mail is sent to teachers or other students.
  • Our tech-savvy generation needs to be apprised and guided of the need to be safe while on the net. They are guided not to share their personal information and avoid chatting with strangers. The right age to open an e-mail account is 13 years.

Rules Regarding Absence

  • Parents should check the record for Non-Attendance for each day, the student is absent from school and state the reasons for the absence through e-mail / letter to the Principal.
  • Leave for going out of station should approved before proceeding by the Principal.
  • It is compulsory for the students to complete 80% of the attendance in the academic session to make them eligible to appear for the final examination. The percentage, however, can be relaxed on bona-fide medical grounds by the Principal.
  • A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious diseases should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him/her to do so.
  • Student suffering from the following disease must observe the prescribed period of rest before returning to class. Fitness Certificate by the Registered Medical Practitioner is mandatory while joining back post the illness.
    • Chickenpox- till complete falling of the scabs
    • Cholera- till the time child is completely well
    • Measles- 2 weeks after the rashes disappear
    • Mumps- until the swelling has gone, about one month
    • Jaundice- Six weeks after the recovery
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of a fresh admission fee.

Late Arrival in the School

Punctuality : Student should reach school in time. No late arrivals will be entertained. The school gate will close at the scheduled time. All late arrivals will have to be accompanied by parents. Three late arrivals will lead to the student being sent back home.

  • The School gates will open 15 mins prior to the prescribed School timings.
  • Students arriving late on account of medical emergency need to sought written permission from the Principal.
  • No student is allowed to enter / leave school premises without written permission from Principal /
